The Obafemi Awolowo Civic Centre came alive yet again on Sunday 31st July, 2022 with the July edition of the ‘Talent on the Loose” a bi-weekly family-friendly entertainment show organised by the Ekiti State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism.

The show which was designed to promote healthy recreation in Ekiti State has also created a platform to showcase and develop local talents.
The 2nd edition for the month of July held on Sunday was witnessed by an audience of about a hundred people at the performance theatre of the ultra modern Obafemi Awolowo civic center. Professor Rasaki Ojo Bakare, the Honorable State Commissioner, Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, who packaged and directed the show, was also the Chief host. He explained that the bi-weekly show tagged “Talents on the Loose” was a response to the need to diversify recreation activities among residents in the State from the damaging effects of some of the old habits engaged in as means of recreation and leisure to a healthier style which benefits the family as a whole.
Talents on the Loose, aside from providing means of recreation to individuals, also promotes friendship and family relationships. This is because it allows parents to go out with their children and meet with other families in an environment devoid of distractive negative influences.

Professor Bakare informed the audience that the next edition would be taking place on the 14th August. He therefore called on the general public to take advantage of the schools vacation to bring their wards and children to the next edition which, according to him, promises to be very interesting.
