Ekiti Performing Arts Company Begins Live Variety Shows

Ekiti Performing Arts Company (EPAC), an arm of the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism is set to begin live variety shows as part of its contribution towards promoting leisure and recreation in the State.

The live variety shows which is set to begin from Sunday 10th of April, 2022 is to run on Sundays at the Adetiloye Hall of Fountain Hotel, Ado-Ekiti from 4p.m to 6pm

According to an official notice released to the public from the office of the Honourable State Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism and signed by Professor Rasaki Ojo Bakare, the show is tagged “Talents on the Loose”.

The live variety show which is to run twice monthly (second and last sundays) would be a family-friendly cocktail of entertainment in dance, drama, magical display, music, stand-up comedy, circus shows etc. Admission is general and the tickets, to be sold at N1,000.00 flat will be available at the show venue as well as Front Offices of Fabian and Fountain Hotels both in Ado-Ekiti. Tickets can also be purchased at the Fajuyi Park Restaurant and the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, Phase 1, State Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti.

The initiative to liven the State up more through regular shows has been described as a long anticipated opportunity to diversify recreational lifestyle of Ekiti people to a heathier and more enriching form of entertainment, fun and leisure. It also offers a great prospect for the enhancement of preventive medicine having been described as an antidote against high blood pressure, diabetes and other lifestyle-opportunistic diseases.

While the first edition is being eagerly awaited, people are begining to make enquires about the prices for corporate and family tickets which, according to one of the organizers, would be made known in due course.
